Yes, in most cases, you can plug a Type 2 charger into a CCS socket. If your electric vehicle has a CCS Type 2 inlet, a compatible Type 2 charger can be plugged into the Type 2 AC section at the top of the inlet. A CCS Type 2 inlet is a combined connection that supports both AC and DC charging. The upper section is the standard Type 2 connection used for AC charging, while the two larger pins underneath are used for DC rapid charging.

When you connect a Type 2 AC charger, it uses the upper Type 2 section of the CCS inlet. The lower DC pins are not used during AC charging.
